Welcome to The Second Voyage. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services. By using our site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree, please refrain from using our website.

We operate under the Small Business Scheme (Kleineondernemersregeling, KOR) pursuant to Article 25 of the Dutch Turnover Tax Act (Wet op de Omzetbelasting 1968). This means no VAT is charged or reported on purchases. As a result, invoices will not display VAT, and customers cannot reclaim VAT.

2. Eligibility

You must be 16 years or older to use this website. By creating an account or making a purchase, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are younger than 16, you may only use the site with parental or guardian consent.

3. Products & Availability

All products on The Second Voyage are secondhand. We do our best to describe the item’s condition clearly in the Specifications section. Availability is not guaranteed, and we may change or discontinue products at any time without prior notice.

4. Orders & Payments

We accept:

• Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)

• Apple Pay / Google Pay

• iDEAL

Orders are considered final once confirmed and processed. This does not affect your statutory right of withdrawal under Dutch and EU consumer law. We reserve the right to cancel any order and issue a full refund within 5 business days.

5. Right to Cancel (EU Consumers)

As an EU consumer, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. This cooling-off period begins the day you receive your item.

How to cancel:
Email us at support@thesecondvoyage.com with:

• Your full name

• Order number

• Clear statement of cancellation

You may also use the standard Order Cancellation Form.

Return conditions:

• Item must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition

• Include original packaging (dust bags, tags, etc.)

• Return must be made within 14 days of cancellation notice

You are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is defective, incorrect, or not as described. In such cases, we will cover or refund the return costs.

6. Refunds

We issue refunds within 14 days after receiving the item or proof of shipment—whichever comes first. Refunds are made to the original payment method and include the item price (excluding original shipping).

Due to our participation in the KOR, we do not charge VAT. Refunds reflect exactly what you paid.

7. Trial Use Policy

You may inspect and handle the item as you would in a physical shop. If returned, we reserve the right to deduct value for any depreciation resulting from handling beyond what is necessary.

8. Legal Guarantee & Damaged Items

All consumers are entitled to a legal guarantee of 2 years under Dutch law. This covers defects or items not as described.

For secondhand items, the guarantee period may be limited if this is clearly stated on the product page.

If your product is defective or incorrect, report it within 2 days of delivery. Contact us at support@thesecondvoyage.com or via our Contact page.

9. Items That Cannot Be Returned

The following cannot be returned:

• Gift cards

• Personalized/custom items

• Final-sale items (clearly marked as such on the product page)

Discounted or sale items can still be returned unless marked final sale.

10. Exchanges

To exchange, return the original item and place a new order for the replacement.

11. User Accounts

Users may register an account to track orders and save preferences. You are responsible for your login credentials. Misuse may result in account suspension.

12. Reviews & Conduct

You may leave reviews for products. We reserve the right to remove any content that is misleading, offensive, or violates our policies.

13. Privacy

Please review our Privacy Policy to learn how we collect, use, and protect your data.

14. Intellectual Property

All website content—including logos, text, photos, and design—is owned by The Second Voyage and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Second Voyage is not liable for indirect or incidental damages related to your use of our site or products.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

As an EU consumer, you may also submit disputes via the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform:

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted on this page and take effect immediately. Continued use of the site implies acceptance.
